A few highlights
We are the first unique yurt-based nursery in the UK where children have yurts as classrooms.
Our goal is to spark curiosity in children through play in the great outdoors. We even grow our own seasonal vegetables too.
With the agricultural college at Sparsholt next door, children can visit the livestock and all sorts of exciting animals, from meerkats to red pandas.
Hello and welcome to our Farley Sparsholt.
Our nursery school is a very special place to learn and play. We鈥檙e the UK鈥檚 first yurt-based outdoor nursery school with our two-acre site surrounded by the fields and animals of Sparsholt College. Even though they spend so much of their time outside, our yurts provide a mellow and memorable space for children with their acoustics, sensory atmosphere and cosy sheep鈥檚 wool coverings in the winter.
Every day at Farley we encourage children to be curious and imaginative in our wonderful outdoor learning environment. In doing so, they soon develop a real love of learning and a curious mind.
Our experienced team come with a wealth of early years learning insight. We know that every child is different with their own story to tell, so we make sure that your child learns in a way and at a pace that鈥檚 right for them.

Children enjoy engaging cookery sessions, exploring ingredients and developing skills through hands-on fun. They also become curious about where food comes from, with opportunities to learn about growing ingredients, fostering a love for food.
Our bespoke food menus cater to various dietary requirements, ensuring every child can enjoy nutritious meals. With a wide range of meal options, we provide a diverse and inclusive dining experience that encourages healthy eating and introduces new flavors.
Our onsite chef prepares nutritious, delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients where possible. We introduce children to a variety of flavors, sparking curiosity, encouraging healthy eating habits, and fostering an appreciation for good nutrition from an early age.

At Farley Sparsholt, we鈥檙e proud to be part of a community that celebrates inclusion, kindness, and support for all children. That鈥檚 why we鈥檙e delighted to be supporting Romsey Opportunity Group, a local charity that provides specialist care, learning, and play opportunities for young children with additional needs, as well as vital support for their families.
Throughout the year, we鈥檒l be getting together for lots of fundraising activities, from bake sales and dress-up days, to sponsored challenges. Together we can make a difference to such an important cause and inspire our children to grow with kindness and generosity. We can鈥檛 wait to see what we can achieve as a community! Amidst all that learning, there鈥檚 plenty of time for play with games, creative activities and outdoor fun.
If children prefer some time away from the hustle and bustle, our quiet area is equipped with reading books and spaces to complete homework.
Whether it鈥檚 breakfast to start the day or a hearty meal after school, all of our nutritious food is freshly prepared daily.
