Additional Commentary
Across the business, our median pay gap is negligible (-2%), an indication of our efforts to ensure pay equality. Our mean gender pay gap, however, is higher. This is because 37% of our male employees work in our Central Support (Head Office) teams that require specialised skills and knowledge which contributes to their higher wages. This skews the mean salary, but not the median. We are proud to not have a gender pay gap when a role is performed by both men and women.

As an organisation, we are committed to increasing the number of male team members across our Nurseries, outperforming the industry average of 2% to 3% of the workforce. We aspire to have an equitable workforce across all our roles both in our Nurseries and Central Support teams.
